The Code Clouds is a static publication hosted on GitHub Pages. The publication does not include an account system, a newsletter sign-up database, an advertising tracker, or analytics scripts.

Your theme preference stays on this device

The light/dark toggle saves your choice in your browser’s local storage under the-code-clouds-theme. It is not sent to us and is not used for tracking. Without a saved choice, the site follows your device’s colour preference. Clear this site’s browser data to return to that default. If browser storage is unavailable, the toggle still works for the current page.

Search stays in your browser

Search downloads a static index of published articles and matches your query in your browser. The query is also placed in the page URL for convenience. It can therefore appear in your browser history and in requests if you reload or share that URL. Do not enter sensitive information.

Hosting and external services

Your browser contacts GitHub’s hosting infrastructure to load this site. GitHub processes technical information according to its privacy statement.

The new publication uses locally served styles, images and system fonts. The preserved original portfolio uses Google Fonts, which causes a request to Google when that page is visited.

Links to other websites

Course providers, LinkedIn, GitHub, and other linked sites have their own privacy practices. Any affiliate tracking occurs through clearly labelled external links and the destination provider. See our affiliate disclosure.
